Transportation update

Important notice: Transit strike and transportation options for the Amazing Brain Science Talks

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the Amazing Brain Science Talks this Saturday, November 8, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m., at the Auditorium of the Grande Bibliothèque (BAnQ). See map for directions to the auditorium.

However, we’d like to inform you that a strike by STM staff will affect bus and metro service in Montréal through November 28, 2025.

🚇 Service interruptions

Full stoppages of STM service (bus + metro) are scheduled for the following periods on Saturday:

9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
5:45 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

♿ Accessibility and paratransit:

The STM’s paratransit service, available for disabled persons or those with reduced mobility upon reservation, will be maintained at all times during the strike. Paratransit service providers in the Montreal region include:

Société de transport de Montréal (STM)
Société de transport de Laval (STL)
Réseau de transport de l’agglomération de Longueuil (RTL)

☕ Make the Most of your day

If you rely on public transit, we recommend arriving downtown early to avoid service disruptions and enjoy the area before the event. The Latin Quarter, Quartier des Spectacles, Plateau-Mont-Royal and Old Port are all within a 15–20 minute walk and full of great cafés, shops and restaurants.
